John Ovnik, owner and chief composer at Deaf Dog Music, has been an integral member of the Chicago music community for nearly two decades. His award-winning compositions have been used in countless ad campaigns. In 1999, after the completion of a successful business partnership, Ovnik built his own state-of-the-art recording facility (named for his hearing impaired dog Jessi) in the River North section of downtown Chicago.
